The Lake Joy Community Club was established in 1952 to protect the interests of its members in the preservation and protection of the environment and wildlife of the Lake Joy area, to support public safety and to encourage a spirit of good fellowship among the people of the Lake Joy Community.
There are three types of membership available: Active, Associated, and Honorary. A member who is current in dues and of legal voting age is considered in good standing.
Active membership requires that the person(s) be in good standing, and be an owner of land within the Lake Joy Addition. Each active member is entitled to one (1) vote.
Associate membership requires that the person be in good standing, be a tenant in the Lake Joy Addition and is not a property owner.
Honorary membership may be conferred upon any individual on recommendation of the Board of Directors and by a majority vote at a general meeting.
Regular meetings are normally held twice a year, in the spring and fall. Meetings are held at the Lake Joy Firestation. Members are encouraged to attend these meetings so their voices may be heard. We also publish a membership directory each year.
Annual Dues are $15.00 per individual voting member ($25.00 per couple/family) and $5.00 per senior individual voting member. Dues provide the Community Club with a means to promote the annual garage sale and provide food, etc. for the annual picnic. In addition, your dues help to pay for this website, insurance coverage for the Club and it's members, environmental cleanup supplies and other costs.
