Community Issues Page
This page is devoted to bringing to your attention issues that concern all of us as residents of the community, city, state and country that we live in.

Currently, we have two important issues of concern that the Lake Joy Community Club Board of Directors wants to bring to everyone's attention.  WE NEED YOUR INVOLVEMENT TOO AS WE CAN'T ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING ALONE!!

KING COUNTY CRITICAL AREA AND STORMWATER ORDINANCES (1/06)
The King County Council pushed through the Critical Areas Ordinances without a vote of the people although an attempt was made to get a vote on the ballot.  These ordinances significantly restrict the ability of homeowners to develop or make changes to their property.

The
Citizen's Alliance for Property Rights is still working very hard to get us heard.

For information on the Ordinances and how they may affect your property and property rights, click on the link at the top of this page.

HARRIS CREEK BRIDGE PROJECT  (1/06)
The new bridge and intersection are now in place and being enjoyed by residents of the area.  However, we are concerned about the safety of the water retention pond that was built at the intersection.

Community Club member, Dan Griner is taking the lead on communicating our concerns to King County.  Most Board Members have met at the site for review and we anticipate an on-site review with King County in January.

If you have questions or comments, please contact Dan Griner at 788-5746 or
dang@cablespeed.com.
