| The Lake Joy Community Neighborhood Watch Program was established many years ago. However, for the past few years it has been neglected and not very active. This has changed and improve in the last couple of years. We have appointed new Watch Captains and a new Watch Coordinator, Mike Swift. Additionally, with the establishment of the Lake Joy Emergency Response Program (ERP), the Neighborhood Watch Coordinator and Captains have become a very important part of the ERP. (See the ERP page for more information on how the Neighborhood Watch Program integrates with the Emergency Response Plan). The three main goals of the Neighborhood Watch Program are: 1. To be familiar with the residents of the community so that they are recognized as part of the neighborhood. 2. To identify individuals who may not belong in our neighborhood, ask questions and possibly report them to authorities. 3. To execute the Lake Joy Emergency Response Plan in the event of a disaster or emergency. For this program to be effective, it takes the participation and attention of ALL residents. Please get involved. If you see someone or something that looks suspicious, call your Watch Captain immediately! |
| If you are interested in serving as a Watch Captain, please contact Mike Swift. |
